FinVault connects to your banks using the UK's regulated Open Banking framework via TrueLayer. You authenticate directly with your bank — FinVault only receives read-only access to balances and transactions.
Tokens are stored locally in your vault.json. They're refreshed automatically and never sent anywhere except back to the TrueLayer API to fetch your own data.
